This is written by  Prof S K Palekar for the guidance of the students  submitting case solutions for his internet courses and tells how they will be graded.
    What I am looking for
In management education a case gives you a good idea of what it will be like when you join the industry where it is important to make decisions and take actions. You will need to (A) study the data  of the case, understand which data is  important and how it can be used (B) collect additional data as needed through net or personal research (C) understand what theory or principles need to  be applied (D) arrive at a diagnosis of what needs to be done and  design a solution based on your diagnosis ( E ) how you will deploy the solution … who will take what action and how.

Your personal presentation of the case
I will  choose any one person from the chosen group at the beginning of the session to make a presentation to the class. The same person will also answer all the questions that are asked by the faculty or the class. Typically you should complete your presentation in 15 minutes and then do the Q/A session for another 15 minutes.
You will prepare a PPT deck (no other format) and send it to the COCO by evening 6.00 pm of the day previous to your presentation date.
Your PPT should consist of 5 slides only. The first slide should indicate Group Number, Date and Case Name. The other 4 slides are left to you. To make the slides visible make sure you use large and dark letters (24 points or more) on a light background. Remember  you are presenting not only through what you show but also through what  you say.

These mistakes may cost you marks
    1)     TECHNICAL MISTAKES  (1) not submitting before the right date and time  (2) not being in the right format (3) not naming the file correctly. The file name should be … “Dushyant case Apr 27 Group 3.ppt
    2)     DATA MISTAKES : Not using the hard and soft data given in the case unless there is a specific reason for ignoring it. Also remember that in almost every case you will need to do some research on your own ( on the net or by contacting some good source or by your own observation). This will give you a clearer picture of the industry, history, principles, rules, theory etc. Don’t make the mistake of relying only on what is in front of you and discussions within the group.
    3)     PRESENTATION MISTAKES : You need to stick to the time provided and speak clearly and slowly so that everybody in the country can hear you well. What you show and what you say should be coordinated. It may be worthwhile for you to conduct a rehearsal of your presentation within your group.
    4)     NOT HANDLING Q/A PROPERLY. Don’t hurry. Answer clearly and confidently because you have studied well.
    5)     YOUR PRESENTATION AND YOUR ANSWERS SHOULD CONVINCE THAT YOU KNOW THE THEORY AS WELL AS APPLICATION.
All submissions to be made only to the COCO
